How to keep your cat’s litter box fresh and odorless

There is no doubt that I am the cutest, smartest ginger cat among all other cats and kittens in the whole world. Human says so. And like other kittens and cats, I pee and poop too. Sometimes I pee and poop as much and often as I drink and eat. That is 24/7!

Human used to call me “Stinky Sintra” because well, my litter box stank. So in order to deodorize my litter box, Human had to clean it as often as possible and sprinkle some baking soda into my litter box. Let me show you how Human keeps my litter box fresh and (almost) odorless:

What Human needs:

How Human does it:

1. Wash and dry the litter box. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons baking soda into the litter box.
2. Pour the first half (of the whole amount of cat litter that you usually do) into the litter box.
3. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons baking soda onto the first half of the cat litter.
4. Pour the second half of the cat litter into the litter box.
5. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon baking soda onto the second half of the cat litter.
6. Place the litter box in a well-ventilated spot in the house.

Human says that baking soda is safe for cats – not to mention that it also helps prevent the littler clumps from sticking to the bottom of the litter box, which makes cleaning up your cat’s litter box a lot easier. Happy pooping scooping!

Did you know that Arm & Hammer has also produced an exclusive, powerful formula with odor neutralizers and moisture-activated baking soda crystals, which eliminates both urine and feces odors on contact? This formula has 10 to 20% more odor eliminators, compared to their regular formula, is 99% dust free, and is perfect for multi-cat homes. Their products include:
