Healthy vegetables and fruits that your cat can safely eat

I LOVE food. I LOVE eating. I could eat the whole day long if I were allowed to. (Un)fortunately, Human is quite strict when it comes to feeding me. I only get my own cat food, which contains 3 times of wet food for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and some dry food before going to bed.

Of course, it doesn’t stop me from begging and crying for some more food and treats whenever I feel like it, especially when Human has her own plate of food. The thing is that Human follows a rabbit diet, which usually consists of vegetables, fruits, seeds, and nuts.

It’s quite a challenge for both of us to decide what Human’s food are safe or unsafe (some are potentially poison) for me to enjoy as treats. So, Human has decided to make 2 different lists of food, stick to them and update them regularly.

1. UNSAVE, toxic and poisonous food

Some human’s food that is unsafe, toxic and poisonous and must be avoided at all costs, including:

  • Alcohol
  • Avocado
  • Cherry
  • Chocolate
  • Coffee
  • Dairy
  • Garlic
  • Grapes
  • Onion
  • Raisins
  • Sugar (sugary food)
  • Tea

And what to do when you are not sure if particular human’s vegetables, fruits or food, in general, are safe or unsafe for your cat? That is easy: simply consider that particular food as unsafe, until they are proven safe, because it will save your wallet (from paying the vet) and of course save your cat’s life.
