Human and I are planning to do more some outdoor activities this upcoming Spring and Summer. Well actually, Human is proposing and planning it, and I am just coming along with it in exchange for lots and lots of treats.

Human knows from her lifelong experience of fostering and taking care for kittens and cats that cats are, in fact a natural born swimmers. So, going to a beach or a lake sounds as tempting as kicking my goldfish in their own fish tank, especially I have never been to one before.

I will not be required to be swimming if I don’t want to but Human insists that I should wear a life jacket regardless. “Safety first!!!” Human always reminds me, and with that motto, I have been testing two life jackets made by Outward Hound.

First, Human got me to wear the Outward Hound Granby Splash Life Jacket. Size S (small) is the perfect size for me. The quality and color of the life jacket are great but for some reasons I always turn into an immobilized cat whenever I wear it.

Human thought that my body simply needed time to adjust to the life jacket. However, even after a few more times of wearing it, the life jacket does not work for me at all. How can I be swimming in this life jacket if I can barely move wearing it?

Has Human returned the life jacket back? Oh no, Human is actually glad that she has finally found a right kind of straight jacket to restain me during nail trimming and ear cleaning. I don’t know if it will also work as a straight jacket for other cats or dogs for trimming purposes but it certainly works for Human.

How about my life jacket for swimming? Well, Human got me my own Outward Hound Standley Sport Life Jacket for Dogs & Cats. Unlike the previous one, this life jacket was made to fit me and my body nicely. Human really likes the design, quality and color, and the size S (Girth: 16-20″ or about 41-51 cm) fits perfectly. Most of all, I can actually move, walk, run, jump, lounge and nap wearing it.

I have not yet worn it for swimming but Human is quite convinced that I will be swimming just fine wearing this Outward Hound Standley Sport Life Jacket for Dogs & Cats in Spring and Summer. In the meanwhile, I will be wearing and testing this life jacket as often as possible so I can get used it.

Human and I will of course update this blog post. For now, if you’re looking for a life jacket as well, this Outward Hound Standley Sport Life Jacket is surely recommended for both your dogs and cats.
